PAINT CORRECTION STAGES?
At Esoteric Detailing we offer 2 stages of Paint Correction.
Our ‘Stage 1 Paint Correction’ is suited for those looking to restore gloss, add clarity and remove 70-80% of paint defects. Within this process, we utilise a singular pad and polishing compound. Generally speaking this requires 1 day to complete.
Our ‘Stage 2 Paint Correction’ is a process which involves the use of multiple liquid abrasive and polishing compounds, as well as a variety of pads to achieve a 95-98% defect free paint surface. If your after a complete swirl free finish with maximum clarity, depth and gloss levels; the stage 2 correction is for you. Generally speaking this requires 2 days to complete.
UNDERSTANDING PAINT AND CLEAR COAT
The diagram below illustrates the structural makeup of a vehicles paint and clear coat. It also shows how most common paint defects appear in natural light, alongside the damage each defect causes to the clear coat. Generally speaking, the variety of defects can be fixed with our paint correction packages as long as the damage has not penetrated through the clear coat.
Deep scratches can not be repaired via paint correction.
